Sami Abusamra

Sami started his career at MTV UK producing and directing music programs such as Gonzo with Zane Lowe. His role there involved shooting, directing and cutting numerous hours of live music performances featuring talent such as Queens Of The Stoneage, Graham Coxon, The Kaiser Chiefs and many more.

His lifelong passion for comedy has since seen Sami establish Mister Tibbs, a creative collective that specialises in delivering comedy content to brands and broadcasters. Sami’s commercial credits to date include work for Nike, Virgin Trains, O2, McDonalds, Dominos and many others. Alongside his advertising commitments Sami continues to write and develop his own TV and film ideas.

Sami’s short films have screened across Europe, North America and the rest of the world with Love Me Tinder being selected for five BAFTA qualifying festivals, Love Nest screening widely and picking up Best Animation at New York Down Town Shorts festival, First Contact winning Best Film at TriForce Film festival in Mayfair and a handful of other pieces garnering best script accolades along the way.  Love Nest is currently being distributed by Aardman Animations.Sami directed six comedy pieces for Fudge Park/BBC Three that featured the likes of Tash Demetriou, Ellie White, Jack Carroll, Jessie Cave, Joseph Morpurgo and Michael Spicer. He has made mock-doc campaigns for the likes of Dominos, which featured ex-premier league player Jimmy Bullard and he’s coaxed comedy performances from other high profile non-actors such as Richard Branson and Geri Halliwell. His most recent credit is a set of idents for Comedy on 4 and Coors Light.
