Alan is the author of BLOODY JANUARY a crime novel set in Glasgow in the early seventies. Released in January 2018, it is the first in the Harry McCoy series of novels to be published by Canongate in the UK and Europa Editions in the US. He is currently adapting it for television with producer Laura Bickford and STV.
He is also currently writing two tv projects for Two Cities Productions, BLACKOUT and AFTER THE BONFIRE.
Alan was born in Scotland and attended the University of Glasgow where he was awarded an M.A. in Moral Philosophy. He still lives and works in the city.
