Michael Samuels is an award-winning director who directed the Channel Four adaptation of William Boyd’s ‘Any Human Heart’. The mini series, which starred Jim Broadbent, Matthew Macfadyen, Sam Claflin and Gillian Anderson, won the BAFTA for Best Drama Serial. He directed ‘Man In An Orange Shirt’ starring Vanessa Redgrave for the BBC, which won the 2018 International Emmy for Best Mini-Series/TV Movie, and ‘The Windermere Children’, which won the 2020 Prix Europa for Best European TV Movie. Michael also won an RTS for Best Single Drama for ‘The Curse of Steptoe’ made for the BBC.
