Gareth Humphreys

After graduating from Bristol University with a first in drama, Gareth worked in a variety of roles for a number of theatre groups in the South West of England. In 2002 he began working for Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan, developing and researching a number of projects for film and television including “The Last King of Scotland” (Slate/Cowboy Films, dir. Kevin McDonald), “The Queen” (Granada/Pathe Productions, dir. Stephen Frears), “Longford” (Channel 4/HBO, dir. Tom Hooper), and “The Special Relationship” (BBC/HBO/Rainmark Films, dir. Richard Longcraine).

He has just completed “The Dictator Hunters,” a suspenseful true story set against the backdrop of international human rights for producer Anne Carey (“20th Century Women”, “Can I Ever Forgive you?”), and “Ticket to Ride”, a civil rights drama set in 1960s Britain, for Cove Pictures.

He is currently writing a drama set during the Korean War for US producer Patrick McCormick, and a biopic about the Dutch philosopher Spinoza.
