Yorkshire-born Jessica Knappett is one of the UK’s most sought-after comedy talents. She created, wrote, produced and starred in four series of her loosely autobiographical sitcom DRIFTERS for C4, which is now streaming on Netflix. Jess had a stint in LA working on a feature film assignment for Universal Pictures, her own original pilot for FX as well as an episode for the upcoming drama series SOULMATES for AMC.
She co-exec produced the development of Series 2 of Vicky Jones’ HBO show RUN and has been involved in numerous writers rooms including WHO IS AMERICA for Sacha Baron Cohen/Spelthorne, and KILLING EVE 2 for Sid Gentle/BBC America. Jess has several original scripted dramas in development with numerous production companies here in the UK. She has also written an episode of the upcoming Netflix series CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.
She is currently developing a series with Quay Street Productions and writing two episodes of AVOIDANCE S2 for Rangabee & BBC.
She is now permanently based near Leeds.
