Jenny Thompson

BAFTA-winning producer, story producer and development producer, possessing an excellent track record from idea generation to delivery. Jenny works with new and established writers including Ronan
Bennett, Ella Evans, Colin Bytheway, Leanne Allen and Jodie Ashdown.

Jenny has a track record of finding creative solutions to budgetary, scheduling or logistical challenges. She’s a skilled communicator and team builder who exercises initiative and demonstrates good judgement under both creative and production pressure.

Seeking out new and interesting IP for adaptation and has shopping agreements on two novels. Jenny’s experienced in leading writers’ rooms and commissioning pitches and is particularly committed to increasing on and off-camera disability representation, inspired by her own lived experience.

• Ran the storylining heart of Casualty, crafting stories and creating new characters, showing a deft understanding of audience wants. Stories included the multi award winning Covid-19 Special and the Rosie Jones-led forced adoption story.

• Briefed artistes on their upcoming storylines, fostering trusted relationships with regular and guest cast and liaised with HoDs about the creative vision of the show.

• Line managed and recruited diverse and talented storyliners and researchers.
