Charlie Manton
Charlie Manton is a writer/director based in London, UK.
His NFTS graduation film NOVEMBER 1ST stars Lindsay Duncan and was a winner at the Student Academy Awards. It went onto screen at over 100 festivals, winning over 30 awards and was shortlisted to the final 10 for the BAFTA Best British Short Film Award.
As a child, Charlie spent his early years acting on stage and in-front of the camera. He trained at the Guildhall School Of Music & Drama and shortly after decided he wanted to direct. Charlie then worked as an assistant to Matthew Vaughn for several years while directing his own shorts. One of which landed him a position on the Directing Fiction course at the NFTS.
Charlie is now developing his debut feature with BBC Film.
In television, he directed two standout episodes of ‘EVERYTHING NOW’ from Left Bank Pictures (The Crown) for NETFLIX and is now directing episodes of BUCCANEERS for Apple TV.
