Ric is part of the BBC Voices Writers Programme 2024 and was one of 13 pioneering writers to contribute a non-Shakespearean play at the historic Shakespeare’s Globe during the groundbreaking Burnt At The Stake event. He was also part of the Royal Court Writers Program and Hampstead Theatre’s Inspire Writers 2023. He is under commission via the Orange Tree and Paines Plough for his play MORAL ANIMAL and has had a second play commissioned by Live Theatre Newcastle. His play ONE OFF, Live Theatre in Newcastle & received 4 stars in The Guardian and The Stage. He wrote is first play Nothing in A Butterfly with support from Soho Theatre. Ric is from Newcastle and is inspired to write predominantly true stories. His play MORAL ANIMAL is also being produced as an audio play for the BBC.
