Zina Wegrzynski

Zina was a Development Executive at multi award-winning production company Bad Wolf before becoming their Writer in Residence in 2021.

An experienced script editor, Zina began her career in production working on shows like CRITICAL (Sky) before going on to coordinating shoots for charity organisations internationally. She then worked at Kindle Entertainment for four years, script editing JAMILLAH & ALADDIN (CBBC), and GET WELL SOON (CBBC), before developing and script editing THE A LIST (BBC/Netflix). In 2017, she was named a Broadcast Hot Shot.

Her YA drama series LOVE AT SECOND SIGHT was optioned by Eleven and selected for the Brit List 2022/23. She also has a sci-fi thriller in with New Pictures and is co-writing an adult animation with Riot Time Pictures and funding from Creative Wales.

Zina was mentored by Anne Mensah.
