Freddie Waters
Freddie’s debut feature is a dark comedy set in Glasgow based on an idea of his and Jack Whitehall’s. It’s written by DC Jackson with Jack in the lead and Kris Thykier producing.
His background is in commercials and comedy. His short films won awards and screened at multiple international Oscar and Bafta qualifying festivals. In comedy, he’s directed shows for Comedy Central, a Netflix stand-up special and series one of BBC3’s PEACOCK which the Guardian gave 4 stars and said the lead, Alan Mustapha, gave David Brent and Alan Partridge a run for their money. In commercials, he’s worked with brands like Nike, adidas & McDonald’s and in 2023 he directed one of the most prestigious gigs in advertising, the Sainsbury’s Christmas ad.
