Guy Henry

Guy Henry is a leading character actor on stage and screen, best known for
his hugely popular role as Henrik Hanssen in the BBC’s HOLBY CITY, the Head of
Comedy in EXTRAS with Ricky Gervais, and as Cassius in the HBO series ROME.

Recently Guy played a major role as Monro, physician to the young King George III,
in QUEEN CHARLOTTE: A BRIDGERTON STORY and will soon be seen in another
featured role as Vergennes in the second series of MARIE ANTOINETTE.

On film, Guy was Pius Thicknesse, the final Minister for Magic in the last two Harry
Potter films, and with the aid of CGI ‘digital make-up’, he recreated Peter
Cushing’s role of Grand Moff Tarkin in ROGUE ONE.

Guy has also worked extensively in the theatre – in the West End; at the Donmar, at
the National Theatre, and he has played major roles with The Royal Shakespeare
Company, often hosting awards ceremonies and fund-raising events along the
way.

Alongside his stage and screen work, Guy loves radio and for some years was the voice of “It’s Showtime!” on Sarah Kennedy’s Dawn Patrol on RADIO 2. He has been guest presenter of Down Memory Lane on EXPRESS FM and now has his own Sunday morning music and chat show on QA RADIO, which attracts a large audience worldwide online. He is
also a new addition to the line-up of BOOM RADIO.

As a presenter, Guy greatly enjoys working with an audience. His style combines
authority with warmth and good humour.
