Lennie James

Born and raised in London, Lennie James is a classically-trained theatre actor having studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He broke onto the international stage in Stephen Hopkins’ LOST IN SPACE, and cemented his place there as “Sol” in Guy Ritchie’s SNATCH, opposite Brad Pitt and Benicio Del Toro. James is also known for his role as “Ross” in Olivier Megaton’s COLOMBIANA, his role opposite Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz in Paramount’s SAHARA, and also in Denis Villeneuve’s BLADERUNNER 2049  opposite Harrison Ford & Ryan Gosling. The cornerstone of his rich and varied television career is his role as the mysterious yet loveable “Morgan” on THE WALKING DEAD, which he has recently reprised in the AMC spinoff  FEAR THE WALKING DEAD. Lennie can also be seen starring opposite Skeet Ulrich in both seasons of the critically acclaimed series, JERICHO, having a recurring role in all three seasons of HBO’s HUNG, as “Glen Boyle,” the lead in Jed Murcurio’s Sky TV series CRITICAL and for launching the hit British procedural drama, LINE OF DUTY.   

Most recently, Lennie created, executive produced and starred in SAVE ME for Sky Atlantic which won a 2019 BAFTA TV nomination for Best Drama series. Lennie himself was also nominated for Best Writer – Drama Series. The second season SAVE ME TOO is currently rated at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and is available to stream via Peacock.
