After making his early shorts on the east coast of Scotland, Andrew studied at the UK’s prestigious National Film & Television School with a scholarship from the David Lean Foundation. His graduation film RADIANCE was nominated for best film at the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Awards while the psychological drama BENEATH won Best Student Film at the Courant 3D festival in France.
In 2021 Andrew was selected for Screen Daily’s prestigious Stars Of Tomorrow and his debut feature, the palaeolithic horror film OUT OF DARKNESS will be released theatrically in February 2024. The film was nominated for five BIFAs, including Best Debut Director and won Best Breakthrough Performance for Safia Oakley-Green.
Last year Andrew directed three episodes of PAYBACK for ITV and Jed Mercurio’s HTM Productions, starring Morven Christie and Peter Mullan. Other TV credits include the acclaimed thriller CLIQUE for BBC / Balloon and COLD FEET for ITV / Big Talk.
