Ben Pearce is an award-winning writer and director.

Most recently, his original TV series Shelley was developed by the BBC and Objective Fiction. His debut feature, A Few Miles South, is being produced by New Europe and is set to star Daryl McCormack and Toby Jones.

Alongside this, he has worked extensively as both a 2nd Unit Director and Producer, including on the Sky TV series This England with Kenneth Branagh, Michael Winterbottom’s Shoshanna with Douglas Booth, Notorious’s Isolation (Venice 2021), and Eleven Days in May (2022) with Kate Winslet.

His short film A Few Miles South, with Toby Jones, was nominated for the prestigious IMDbPro Award at the Toronto International Film Festival. His previous shorts (Waterloo 2020, Nurtured 2019, and Silent Woods 2012) have screened internationally, garnering numerous awards and nominations.

He started out in the industry working with and developing projects for other filmmakers, including David Yates, Bryan Burk, and David Koepp, on films such as Star Wars: The Force AwakensMission: Impossible, and J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts series.
