Christian Rivers

Christian is an Oscar-winning director, writer and VFX supervisor. Hailing from New Zealand, Christian made his name as one of Peter Jackson’s most frequent collaborators, working with him as a teenager on BRAINDEAD, through Lord of the Rings and KING KONG (for which he won his Oscar for VFX contributions), before directing MORTAL ENGINES.
Christian has also become an important point of call for WETA digital for their pre-visualisation work across genres, from THE LOVELY BONES to coordinating huge MCU set pieces.
