Jamie Childs is currently directing Series 2 of SANDMAN for Netflix. Previously he directed his debut feature JACKDAW, starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen for Anton and the Season 1 Finale block of WILLOW for Disney + and Lucas Film. Jamie was the Co-Executive Producing Director on SANDMAN for Netflix, DC Comics and WBTV. He was an integral part of making the show a success as he worked alongside David Goyer, Allan Heinberg, and Neil Gaiman. Jamie is also well-known for his work on DOCTOR WHO and HIS DARK MATERIALS. He directed the season premiere and season finale of DOCTOR WHO Series 11, where he had the coveted role of introducing the first-ever female Doctor. His opening episode was nominated for a BAFTA Must-See Moment of 2018. Following that, he went on to direct the season 1 finale block of HIS DARK MATERIALS for HBO. He returned to HIS DARK MATERIALS to direct four episodes (including the opening block) of Season 2 and as an Executive Producer.
