Jaz Woodcock-Stewart

Jaz Woodcock-Stewart is an Olivier Award-nominated director working in Theatre, Performance, and Screen. She is from Dudley and is based in London.

Her production of Paradise Now! was nominated for the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement at an Affiliate Theatre.

She is the co-writer and director of Lands (2017-18) and writer and director of Civilisation (2019-2022), a collaboration with acclaimed choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple. Civilisation won the Jury Prize at the Fast Forward Festival (2021), the Europe Festival for Young Stage Directors at Dresden Staatsschauspiel. It was then selected for the highly regarded Radikal Jung in Munich (2022).

Jaz’s latest international work includes Jason Medea Medley (2023) her own adaptation of Medea. She directs Glass Menagerie for Theater Basel in 2025.

She is a House Resident this year with House Productions.
