Rene Pannevis is a Dutch filmmaker and editor.
Rene’s shot JACKED won the BIFA for Best Short Film in 2016 and his debut feature based on the short, LOOTED, starring Thomas Turgoose and Charley Palmer Rothwell, went on to be BIFA nominated.
He recently directed all episodes of THE TOWER, Patrick Harbinson’s hit show, for Mammoth and ITV.
In 2013 Rene received his MFA in directing at the prestige NYU Tisch School of the Arts under the artistic guidance of Oliver Stone. His teaching was unforgettable. Among the many other brilliant teachers were Todd Solondz, Shekhar Kapur, Bobby Bukowski, Matt Chesse, Hani Abu Assad, David Fincher and Roger Spottiswood who taught him great lessons in film making.
