Rollo Jackson

Rollo Jackson is a British director and photographer. Reliably ambitious and technically inventive, he is a prolific documentarian of underground culture. His work is steeped in the overlapping worlds of UK fashion, sport, hip-hop and dance music.

He has directed music videos for artists as varied as Jamie XX, Pa Salieu, Chase & Status, Hot Chip, James Blake, and The Streets.

In 2017, YouTube and Fader commissioned him to make a 20-minute narrative film for Stormzy’s now seminal album, Gang Signs & Prayer. The following year, he directed a feature length documentary for VEVO, ‘Still Storch’, around the return of super producer Scott Storch. In addition, he shot the Mercedes World Cup 2018 campaign.

In 2021, he directed ‘Future Proof’ for Deutsche Telekom, starring Billie Eilish, followed by ‘Step’ for Apple, and ‘Hyped’ for Virgin Media, which featured the voice of garage icon MC Neat as a disembodied mouth taking over British TV screens.

2022 saw him helm the JD Sports xmas campaign featuring Kano and Central Cee amongst many, many others.

Rollo has also worked on campaigns for NikeLab, adidas, Mercedes, Arsenal FC, Reebok, Google Pixel, EE, Supreme and Ray-Ban.

He is developing his debut feature with Somesuch and Film4.
