Alex wrote two series of the critically acclaimed Radio 4 comedy, Living With Mother, staring Alison Steadman, Timothy Spall, Mark Gatiss , Anne Reid, Penelope Kieth and Daniel Mays among others. It was pick of the day and week in all the papers and got nice reviews like this from the Radio Times:
‘Alexander Kirk’s astutely-observed comedy series … underpinning each of these tales is a bittersweet poignancy, a moment when the easy laughs are replaced with a lip-trembling insight into the vulnerability, lack of self-confidence and interdependency’.
He wrote four stories across four series of the award winning Crackanory on Dave as well as working in the writers rooms for the brilliant The Phantom Of The Open, Paddington 2 and Wonka
He is currently co-writing a comedy pilot entitled Them for Avalon and another, Book Of Daniel for Clapperboard TV.
