Ava Wong Davies is a playwright and screenwriter.
Her theatre credits include: i will still be whole (when you rip me in half) (Bunker Theatre, 2019), Half Blue (Audible/LAMDA), small hours (Oxford Playhouse/IF Festival), and Rime of the Second Sister (45North). She is an alumnus of the Soho Writers Lab (2018-2019), the Bush Emerging Writers Group (2019-2020), and the Royal Court Writers Group (2021). Her play, scum, was shortlisted for the Verity Bargate and Tony Craze awards in 2020, and was longlisted for the Women’s Playwriting Prize in 2021. Her acclaimed play, GRACELAND premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2023 which won the ATG Playwright’s Prize.
She has recently served as Consulting Producer on the HBO drama, INDUSTRY Season 3, and the upcoming season of a flagship Amazon show. She has also written an episode for the anticipated Robin Wright series THE GIRLFRIEND for Amazon/The Imaginarium.
Ava is currently developing a thriller series, THE ASSISTANT, for DNA Films.
She was featured in Variety’s 10 Brits to Watch 2025.
She has projects in development with Left Bank Pictures, Riff Raff Entertainment, Drama Republic, Passenger, Cowboy Films, and Good Chaos.
