Cassie Werber is a writer and journalist.

Her professional writing credits for radio and stage include: And All Night Long (2008, Menagerie Theatre/BBC Audiotheque); Double Negative (2007, Oval House Theatre). Double Negative reached the third round of Soho Theatre’s Verity Bargate award and was Time Out Critics’ Choice; The Runaround (2006, Camden People’s Theatre); and Paramour (2005 with Gilbert Taylor, Camden People’s Theatre and Pleasance Edinburgh). She is working on her first novel.

Cassie works as a journalist for Quartz, writing about the world of work. Prior to that, she was a reporter at The Wall Street Journal and at Financial News, as well as writing freelance for The Economist, the Guardian, and others. Cassie read English at Clare College Cambridge and has two MA degrees, in performance from the Central School of Speech and Drama and in journalism from City University. She was home-educated in the countryside near Ipswich.
