Colette has been writing theatre for over ten years and has worked with companies, Paines Plough, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, Hampstead Theatre, London and Theatre Clwyd. She broke into screenwriting in 2012 when she was commissioned to write an episode of Jimmy McGovern’s Moving On for BBC ONE. She went on to write three more episodes of Moving On and was part of the team behind McGovern’s BBC series Broken, co-writing an episode. Colette was the lead writer on series two of Temple.
Colette is currently working with Left Bank Pictures on Netflix’s new crime thriller, Department Q, with Scott Frank directing. She is also developing an TV adaptation of BBC Scotland’s hit podcast, The Missing Madonna, as well as adapting Colwill Brown’s debut novel, We Pretty Pieces of Flesh for The Lighthouse, and a true crime novel for West Road Pictures.
Colette is based in Liverpool.
