Dorothy Jane Stewart is a Scottish screenwriter. She was the first recipient of the David MacLennan Scholarship for the Masters in TV Fiction Writing at Glasgow Caledonian University and was selected to develop her feature drama script ‘The Story of Me & You’ for the inaugural Writers Lab UK & Ireland 2021 with funding provided by Scottish Screen and Cate Blanchett’s Dirty Films.
She has previously written for Ambush, a comedy collective who have performed sell out shows at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, and BBC presents at The Stand and currently has a sitcom with cowriter Simon Nye optioned by Genial Productions. She is also in development for two original series with Tall Story Pictures.
