Emily is an emerging screenwriter and playwright.  Before becoming a writer, she originally trained as an actor at RADA.

In 2018 she won a place on Channel 4’s 4Screenwriting Course where she developed her pilot Land of My Fathers about a Syrian refugee coming to live in a small Welsh town.  She was then selected to be part of the BBC Wales Writersroom group ‘Welsh Voices’ in 2019.

Her acclaimed play, Pavilion, premiered at Theatr Clwyd in Sept-Oct 2019, directed by Tamara Harvey and published by Faber & Faber.

In 2020 she was nominated as Theatr Clwyd’s writer for the English Touring Theatre program, Nationwide Voices, on which she received a seed commission.  She was also commissioned by Theatr Clwyd to write her play Atlantis, which went on to win the George Devine Award in 2021.

She was a writer on the digital theatre project ‘Microplays’ with Wrapt Flims/Open Sky Theatre which also won a digital culture award in 2021.
Currently she has a comedy drama series for Little Door in development with the BBC and is about to start work on a play commission for National Theatre Wales.
