Emma Ramsay is a Scottish screenwriter/director based in Edinburgh.
She was in the writers room for series two of CBBC sitcom NOVA JONES and wrote an original episode. She has also written episodes of the continuing drama RIVER CITY.
Emma was part of BBC Writers Scottish Voices ’23 and is currently partnered with SYNCHRONICITY (THE CRY/TATTOOIST OF AUSCHWITZ) on the BBC Writers pilot scheme where she’s writing THE RENTAL, a psychological horror about the hell that is the housing market.
In 2024 she wrote and directed the short film POLY BAGGAGE, a comedy/horror about heartbreak funded by the BFI Network and Screen Scotland.
She is now developing projects across television as well as her feature film BLUE SCARS, a horror set in the mining town she grew up in.
