Helen has a background in script development and script edited a number of high profile shows before moving into writing full time. She is currently writing the opening episode for the new series of ‘Vera’, starring Brenda Blethyn (ITV1), and has written for the last three series of ‘Lewis’, starring Kevin Whately and Laurence Fox (ITV1). She is developing original work with Company Pictures and with Mam Tor Productions.
Helen was selected by BBC Writers’ Room as one of 15 emerging writers to attend their Skylight Scheme in 2012.
As a script editor, Helen’s credits include ‘Monroe’ (w. Pete Bowker), ‘Parade’s End’ (w. Tom Stoppard) and over 50 episodes of ‘Eastenders’.
