Jiwon Lee (J.W. Lee) is a former journalist who switched to dramatic writing. Her debut TV pilot was shortlisted for the BAFTA Rocliffe Best New Drama award. She is currently adapting ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ for Amazon and Leftbank, and developing originals for CBS / Anonymous Content , RedRiding, DCM, BBC / Witchery Pictures and BBC / Element.
As a journalist, she worked in TV and print (MacNeil/Lehrer, PBS, CBS, Time, WSJ) in both short and long form; her credits include emmy-winning documentaries (MacNeil/Lehrer) and show producing live broadcasts (WSJ TV/what is now CNBC). She holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and from the Wharton Business School and focused on financial news. She has also contributed to CNN and New York Magazine.
