Joanna Anderson is an award-winning producer who has now begun writing for screen. Working equally across film and television her first feature screenplay, a biopic about the life of Vera Lynn, has been signed by eOne. Joanna has also been commissioned by Per Capita to write a pilot for a series based on a memoir by a young intelligence officer in post-war Germany, and has a feature film in development with the BFI about the West Indies cricket team of the late 1970s.

Joanna is a highly experienced script executive and producer who has collaborated with a number of leading British screenwriters. She began her career in BBC Drama, working as Senior Development Executive at the UKFC (now BFI) as well as working as Head of Development at various independent companies. She co-founded AL Films to option and produce Small Island, the award-winning novel by Andrea Levy, which went on to win an International Emmy for best mini-series, a Broadcast award for best drama, RTS awards, a BAFTA and four BAFTA nominations including best drama serial.
