lydia luke
lydia luke is a playwright and director born & currently based in Epsom, UK. Her primary concern is telling nuanced, deeply poetic and radically honest stories about Black british people that examine the heart and human condition. As a writer, her play upright enuf was a finalist for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2021 and shortlisted for the RSC’s 37 Plays. She was in the Royal Court’s Introduction to Playwriting 2020/21 cohort and in their upcoming bespoke Writers Group.
