Paul is a Cardiff based writer/director originally from the Isle of Wight. He’s worked with Greg Davies writing on series 1 – 3 of BBC One comedy series THE CLEANER and wrote/directed the BBC Wales commissioned short film GRANDFATHER RIGHTS, aired June 2023. Paul’s debut feature, slacker comedy BIG FONT LARGE SPACING, premiered at the Atlanta Film Festival and his award winning short films have found festival audiences across the globe, including BFI-funded ALL MY HAPPY FRIENDS (London Short Film Festival, Prague Short Film Festival) and MEGA SEXY ROBOT DINOSAUR (Clermont-Ferrand, Encounters, Vienna Shorts). The latter screened at over 30 international festivals (8 Academy Award Qualifying). Paul’s interests extend to documentary shorts (MY 70s VLOG), Sketches (WIND FARM PROTESTER 1637) and innovative online formats (MAREK MAKES A MEAL OF IT starring Marek Larwood). He was previously selected for ‘Berlin Talents’ (part of the Berlin Film Festival) and has a first class degree in psychology. Selected independent work can be seen on his YouTube channel.
