Sarah is currently adapting THE SEVEN DEATHS OF EVELYN HARDCASTLE for House Productions, based on Stuart Turton’s Sunday Times bestselling novel, and is also working on an adaptation of Janice Hadlow’s THE OTHER BENNET SISTER for Bad Wolf. She’s also writing new Netflix series HEAT for World Productions (inspired by Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton’s book), and she also wrote on THE POWER for Sister Pictures/Amazon, adapted from the New York Times bestseller by Naomi Alderman.
Sarah’s writing debut ELLEN (Channel 4), was directed by Mahalia Belo and starred Jessica Barden. It won the BAFTA Cymru for TV/Feature Film, the Broadcast Award for Single Drama, the PRIX Italia for International Drama and the Writers’ Guild Award for Short Form Drama (2017) . Sarah was nominated for the BAFTA Breakthrough Talent at the Craft Awards and went on to be named as one of 2017/18’s BAFTA Breakthrough Brits. Sarah is now working with Belo again, writing new feature WEDLOCK for Film 4/Number 9 Films/Protagonist.
Working alongside director Kath Mattock and documentary-maker Nick Holt, she created crime thriller THE TRIAL: A MURDER IN THE FAMILY which aired on Channel 4 to rave reviews. She also wrote on the second series of HIS DARK MATERIALS for Bad Wolf/BBC/HBO.
