Stella Papamichael

As an experienced journalist and production editor, working predominantly for the BBC and Radio Times, Stella has written extensively about film and television. As a screenwriter, she developed a half-hour sitcom with BBC producer Micheal Jacob (My Family, Two Pints), and was later shortlisted in two Channel4 talent schemes spearheaded by then-commissioner Sophie Gardiner. In 2021, Stella’s pilot script for Green Lanes – a crime thriller set on the eponymous north London thoroughfare – was selected for the first UK Writers’ Lab, a hothouse initiative co-founded by Cate Blanchett’s Dirty Films in the US. She was teamed with producers Julia Berg (Untamed Stories) and Yvonne Ibazebo (Top Boy) to take Green Lanes into the next stages of development.
